Young Drivers Documentary

Here is my documentary called "CAUTION! Reckless Young Drivers and its about reckless young drivers. The documentary includes cut aways, interviews with 2 young drivers and 1 mature driver  and I also did some secondary research.

I chose to do this because of a story I heard on the news  at the time. I thought I would do a documentary to raise awareness and prevent accidents like the story I heard on the news.

Audience Profile

This documentary would be mainly aimed at teenagers aged 15-19 because this documentary would inform them about how dangerous driving could be if you don't be responsible of the speed of the car they are going at and also what accidents are caused by reckless driving.

This documentary would also be aimed at the parents of the teenagers because then they have a good idea of how irresponsible  teenagers could be when driving  so then they can advise their son or daughter to be more responsible on the road so that they won't be involved in dangerous accidents.

Competition/similar products and competitor analysis

This documentary is similar to mine because it tells you about how reckless young drivers are, how many accidents young drivers are from the ages of 25 and under. The things that are different about my documentary is that in my documentary I don't have footage of car crashes. The camera in this documentary is placed on the window inside the car so you can see the behaviour of the drivers from when they are in the drivers seat of the car. The statistics give the audience who are watching this documentary who might be at the age of 16-18 a clear idea of what not to when they are driving.

This documentary is similar to mine because it shows interviews with different people after they have experienced accidents by them saying that they thought that "it wouldn't happen to them" and how lucky they were not to get seriously injured. The differences between my documentary and theirs is that  I don't have footage of people nearly being involved in accidents.
