Primary Research Blog

In these questionnaires from people in the class and found out  what people already drive or want to drive so they have applied for drivers licence.

I have also found out about what the legal age for teenagers to start learning to drive.

From these questionnaires I have also found out that  they are unaware about the accidents that have happened to       teenagers.

I have also made poll Junkies for people from class to answer on social media and after they answered the questions  you can see the popular answer people have said and use that information in a powerpoint or documentary

Here are the results of the first poll junkie and Alcohol is the most important cause of reckless drivers

Here are the results of the second poll junkie and most of the people that filled out the survey are aged 16-17 and are male. the poll junkie also shows that they don't consider themselves to not be a boy/girl racer and the responses. Also it shows the answers for the final question and how they would feel if they were in a car with fast drivers.

Here is a video clip of an example of a teenage driver and told us about the experience of incidents he has experienced in a car.

Here is the Tally chart from my observations of the age drivers.

Secondary Research Blog

In this blog this is my secondary research that I have collected from the internet and books and I have found information about the types of penalties  from crimes that teenagers commit.

In other pages of the book it shows what to do in situations if people get injured things like how to deal with the situation, call the ambulance.

The book also points out what to make sure of things like fluid levels and informs you about emergency care.

I have also found out from the internet all the accidents which  some involves teenagers some might be caused by other drivers or teenagers that like to show off to their mates and end up seriously damaged.
These articles show the outcome of dangerous driving by teenagers.

Teenagers could have to wait a year longer than currently before they are allowed to take their driving test

New drivers would also face a curfew between 22:00 and 05:00 unless a passenger aged over 30 was in the car.
It recommends a one-year "learner stage" beginning at 17, during which drivers would have to total at least 100 hours of daytime and 20 hours of night-time practice under supervision.
Learners can then take their test at 18 and, if they pass, will get a probationary licence and have to display a green "P" plate.

During this stage, drivers will face the curfew and all those under 30 will be banned from carrying any passengers also under 30.

After the 12-month probationary period, drivers will automatically graduate to a full license and unrestricted driving.
Statistics show that more than a fifth of deaths on British roads in 2011 involved drivers aged 17-24.
The report suggests implementing this new system could cut a A Department for Transport spokesman said: "Young drivers drive around 5% of all the miles driven in Britain but are involved in about 20% of the crashes where someone is killed or seriously injured.
"We are committed to improving safety for young drivers and reducing their insurance costs - that is why we are publishing a Green Paper later in the year setting out our proposals. annual casualty numbers by 4,471 and save £224m.

Video

Today, we have been filming a minute documentary but with three different cuts such as match cut, jump cut and cut away. next we are editing the documentary to create the different cuts and delete the bits of the clips that are not needed. The tools that we used to edit the video are the pen tool to make the sound quieter louder and quieter, we used the razor blade tool to cut the clips and switch the clips to create the cut aways.

Scotland Independence survey

In this powerpoint We made a survey to find out  the information about other peoples opinions on Scottish independence. you can see in this slide that I have introduced the topic and what was involved to find the information by making a survey and hen showing the results on a tally chart to show the results of the survey.
In this slide we asked people if they cared about scottish independence and the results show that 65% said yes and 35% said no. which leads onto the 2 question to show why some many people care about scottish independence.
In this slide we asked if any people had any family that come from scotland and results show that 55% said that they have got family that come from scotland, 40% said they have no family that come from scotland and 5% of the survey are not sure if they have any family that come from scotland.
In this slide it shows the third question of the survey which we asked if 16 year olds should be able to vote, the results from the pie chart show that only a quarter of the survey said yes and the majority of the survey said no.
In the fourth question of the survey we asked people if scotland should be allowed independence, and these results show that nearly 60% said that they shouldn't have independence and 38% of the survey said that they should be allowed to have independence.
In this last question we asked people if they were voting and results show that there were a mixed response such as a quarter of the survey weren't sure if they were voting and quite a lot of people said  no that they are not voting and the majority of the pie chart said yes they were voting.

qualitative and primary research methods and techniques

There are many different methods and techniques for research such as Primary research  which involves you going out and finding out the information for yourself through techniques such as interviews, observations and questionnaires.
today we have be focusing on §qualitative research is  text based research.

The bo bo doll is used to observe the aggression in kids by the adult putting the bo bo doll into a room and then hitting the doll and when the kid enters the room, the kid then copies the adult in the same way.
Jeremy Paxman puts the interviewee under pressure because he knows what answers he wants to make headlines from, by repeating the question till they give a response to that question. the way the Paxman interviews is semi structured because he knows what he wants to ask but sticks to that one question until they give a response.
Russell brand is a humanist and when he is interviewed by Jeremy Paxman he basically told Paxman his politic opinion on the economy.
Louis Theroux has good techniques when he is interviewing because he interviews the interviewee with a non controversial approach but still has an opinion on the topic of the interview.

Theroux tries to trick the interviewee by re-phrasing the question so he still gets the answers he wants. This is known as an observational interview as he observes them in what they do each day.
On the Apprentice they ask open questions to the entrepreneurs to see what explanations they get in response to the questions. The interviews on The Apprentice are tense because they put you on the spot and expect a decent response, on the apprentice they also question the CV and the business plan of the entrepreneurs. This would be known as a semi structured interview.
